My and Phil Sobolev got together and did a quick little “about the Cabrinha Skate” video for the Cabrinha website.  I figured I’d throw it up here as well.  Not a ton of action but there is quite a bit of good info if you are just learning how to skate.

So, a few days ago I had the bright idea of hooking a GoPro camera to the end of a windsurfing mast (490cm) and hanging it out over the inside of Kitebeach.  Long story short, it filmed for an hour and I got zero usable footage out of it.  I think it was a combination of a tiny filming window (probably about 10-15 visible feet of water) and the fact that it was crowded.  In fact, I think I only passed in front of the lens maybe 5-10 times in an hour.  Talk about frustrating.  Anyway, here are the “highlights,” if you can even call them that.

Wow.  Pretty cool info.  AllianceWake.com ran an article titled “The World’s Greenest Pull” featuring the ACL Red Cam footage of Dre, Steen and myself.  They also featured the ghetto video I did – Line Mount Mayhem!  Talk about stoked.  It’s awesome to see kiteboarding getting positive recognition from other board sports, specifically wakebording since a lot of my kiteboarding is an emulation of that sport.  This, along with the positive feedback from Wakeskating.com has really given me hope for the future of kiteboarding.  Hopefully more exposure will lead to more talented riders getting involved in the sport.
